COAST!!!!! From Red to Blue....

Well guys,

It took me a while to adjust I must say from the adventurous red dust to the clean wet blue stuff.

I am better now than a week ago due some pretty cool socialising with many very special friends and a very splendid nature hit during the past week.

Beautiful Cape Tribulation, Jase and Tait and in distance you can see our little lunch picnic set up under a canopy of gorgeous flowers and Daintree Rainforest. We visited here with a good German friends the Lowery's.

 

Happy Families playing in the sun. We are sooooooo lucky. Such an amazing quiet untouched spot.

 

 

There is this very new species of Croc that has been discovered here in the Daintree, its called the Meridiosis!!!!! It only comes in female form and is very very snappy!!!!! Dont want to cross this one on a bad day!!!

Palm Cove....we love it here. Our family from UK joined us here for 5 days and I also bumped into our very good friends the Caligari's. A spot of fishing guys...Tait successful, Potato Cod and a Barra (apparently got away!!!). This pier is just a 2 min walk from our beach front caravan park.  Lovely place with gorgeous Melaluca Gums evrywhere built into shops and restuarants. Quiet and tranquil. Gorgeous...staying 9 days we love it so much,

 

 

We are family!!!!  On Green Island. Amazing place. We stayed the whole day and snorkelled nearly all of it!!!! Blinkin sore shoulders the next day. BUT, we saw turtles, squid, jumping whales, fish large n small of all different colours, Nemo!!!, giant clams (they are scary!!!) corals of all shapes n sizes like Brains, Bright blues and etc etc etc etc...Fantastic day!!

My dream was to see one in wild!!!

 

 

 

M loved the snorkelling.....

 

 

 

This is a Bird Wing Butterfly. It has a red body and yellow under its wings. Enormous size isnt it?

 

Kuranda for the day via Skyrail which was ace up in rainforest. From the Poma we saw so many birds, butterflies and awesome trees.  Visited Butterfly Sanctuary and Bird world which again is all up M's alley!!!

 

 

How cool is this????? This Macaw is trying to pull a badge off of Ms hat. She was tickled pink!! Very funny...then it stole a red hair tie off her wrist and played tug of war with her!  Hilarious.....

 

 

Beware!!!! Crocs live on this beach!!!!

Taits News

Hello Everybody,

My mum is typing a bit ok guys so my spelling is pretty good.

I am having fun doing stuff like playing with new friends and they speak German. I am learning some.

This is me jumping off a rock into a pool at Litchfield. My mum really freaked!!!

This is me in a rock pool that has lots of water bugs. The water bugs dont hurt you but I was scared of them. This is at a place called Edith Falls.

 

This is my friend Allon, he is from Germany.

 

This is a hospital army tank. We saw lots and lots of lots and lots of army tanks and trucks on our trip.

 

These are the bucking bulls. People got bucked off. It was exciting because there was so much to watch. Someone got bucked off and the bull rolled over him. He got a cracked rib for sure....

 

This is a lava tube. I am in a lava tube. It was cold and it was refreshing. I sor cane toads and bats. It was really really really dark, I had to use a torch.

OOOOhhhhhhhhh I spotted a snake and saved Dad from getting bitten by the snake. It was a pithon (my spelling). I saw another later and I  saw a Bearded Dragon lizard too.

Meridiens news

Hi  People,

I have had heeeaaappppss of fuuuuuuunnnnnnnn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   Doing loads of exciting things like:

Jumping into deep rockpools at Litchfield Park. This is Buley Rock Pools.

 

At Darwin I met some girls called Jasmine and Talia. We are all walking along the beach together. We made a cubby together and had fun swimming in the pool.

Later on I went to Richmond and went fossiling. I found a 98 million year old Squid backbone called a Belemnite. Pretty rare, and a few other things like sharks teeth, dinosaur tooth. parts of fish etc.

 

At Undarra I went into a huuuuge lava tube. A lava tube is big hollow tube the used to have lava running through it. 190,000 years ago. Here I am with some other children going through a small part of the lava tube. I saw some microbats callled Golden Horse Shoe bats.

 

 

I was so jealous of this Amethyst geode. It is my birthstome and it is the Worlds Biggest Amethyst Geode and I got to touch it!!!!!

 

This Fly Fox fruit bat was injured but saved and brought back to the Bat Hospital in Atherton. Bats come in 2 different types. The megabat and the microbat. This one is a Megobat. This FlyFox sucks juice out of the fruit adn spits the hard stuff back out. That means they wee alot because they drink so much fruit. The microbats are alot smaller and eat insects. They use sonar to find their way around when it is dark and find food.

 

We went  on a very freaky walk around a volcano crater lake. We spotted quite a few snakes and a very handsome Bearded Dragon. We also saw a tree kangaroo and turtles. Here is a baby one below.
